Minimotors has the largest factory for production, assembly, and in-house development, as well as the most extensive R&D work. The components and vehicles are quality assured through extensive and thorough testing to deliver maximum durability and safety. This is an enormously important and resource-intensive process where Minimotors, with its long history, global presence, and unique expertise, is at the absolute forefront. Therefore, we encourage great caution when purchasing products/copies that lack a transparent and verifiable source, as these products may be defective, worn out, and pose a safety risk to the user and the surrounding environment.

This has led to all of Minimotors' products being largely delivered with in-house developed components that meet the stringent quality requirements set. An external proof of Minimotors' successes in this area is the high global demand for these components among other manufacturers/players.

The facilities cover an area of 79,405 square meters, with a total built area of 122,705.15 square meters, consisting of 7 production facilities, 2 dormitories, and 1 office complex.

1999 – Founded in South Korea

Minimotors is founded in the South Korean city of Busan

2000 – No. 1 in "Motor Boards"

Minimotors becomes the leading domestic seller of 'Motor Board'.

2006 – First Electric Scooter.

  • Releases 'Silverwing', a Minimotors electric scooter designed for adults.
  • Becomes the exclusive distributor of the American brand 'Goped' in Korea.

2009 – Electric ATV & Foreign Expansion.

  • Minimotors releases its electric ATV, a versatile and high-capacity electric off-road vehicle.
  • Minimotors expands into the Chinese market.

2010 – Minimotors Corporation.

  • Minimotors headquarters moves to Illsan, a district in the South Korean province of Gyeonggi-do.
  • Becomes the exclusive distributor of the Japanese brand Fukiplanning in Korea.
  • Becomes the exclusive distributor of the German brand Puma moto in Korea.

2011 – Fireball Electric Scooter Launched.

  • Minimotors launches its domestic electric scooter named 'Fireball' in Korea.
  • Becomes the exclusive distributor of the French helmet brand 'Frank Shark' in Korea.

2012 – Taiwanese Contract.

Minimotors launches the Taiwanese brand 'Patgear' for the Korean market.

2013 – Fireball 2.

  • Minimotors releases the sequel to its popular electric scooter 'Fireball'. 'Fireball2' becomes, like its predecessor, a great success in the Korean market.
  • Minimotors opens its official club 'Naver Cafe' in Korea.

2014 – Speedway Electric Scooters.

  • Minimotors launches the iconic electric scooter brand 'Speedway'. The Speedway brand becomes a global success and sets the standard for 'entry-level' electric scooters.
  • Minimotors releases the "Shredder." Shredder is a very robust, powerful, and versatile DTV (Dual Track Vehicle) that the user stands on, similar to an electric scooter. The vehicle can handle extreme conditions and is very durable.
  • Becomes the exclusive distributor of the Chinese brand "Uberscoot" in Korea.
  • Becomes the exclusive distributor of the French brand "Kleefer" in Korea.
  • The service network in Korea expands to 18 operators.

2015 – Dualtron: The world's first electric scooter with dual motors.

  • Minimotors makes history with Dualtron, the world's first electric scooter with dual motors. Dualtron is initially launched in Korea and shortly thereafter takes the world by storm.
  • Minimotors begins its domestic production of lithium-ion batteries/battery packs. The batteries are fully tailored for the new Dualtron models.
  • Minimotors expands to Singapore & Australia.
  • Annual sales exceed 10,000 Minimotors units in Korea.
  • The official Minimotors club becomes the recognized largest club in Korea.

2016 – Dualtron II & Global Expansion

  • Minimotors expands to the USA & Europe.
  • Releases Dualtron II, the successor to the world's first electric scooter with dual motors.
  • Releases Dualtron Man, the world's first electric personal vehicle with hubless motors.
  • Releases the electric scooters Speedway 3 & Speedway Mini 3.
  • The service network in Korea expands to 21 operators.
  • Releases Kleefer e-Pure, Jeontadae, Fastwheel BringMe, DoubleTen 100i & Eva Super New 340.

2017 – Dualtron Ultra & Speedway 4

  • The powerful and highly popular Dualtron Ultra is launched. Dualtron Ultra shows the world the enormous capacity that an electric personal vehicle can deliver.
  • Releases the electric scooters: Speedway Nano, Speedway 4 & Speedway Mini 4 Pro.
  • Launches Dualtron H29E & Dualtron Raptor.
  • The service network in Korea expands to 30 operators.
  • Establishes a new logistics warehouse in the Korean city of Paiju.
  • Releases DoubleTen 100i LIMITED & Etimiti Pro+.

2018 – 3rd Generation Dualtron

  • Dualtron releases the 3rd generation Dualtron with Dualtron 3 & Dualtron Thunder.
  • Speedway 5 is launched. The first Speedway electric scooter with dual motors.
  • Moves both logistics and headquarters to the South Korean city of Paiju.
  • Minimotors launches its self-developed app.
  • Launches an insurance for operating electric personal vehicles in Korea.

2019 – Dualtron Revolution

  • Dualtron Spider is launched. The world's lightest electric scooter with dual motors.
  • Dualtron X is launched. Dualtron X is probably, by far, the best electric scooter in the world.
  • Releases the electric scooters: Dualtron Compact, Dualtron Raptor 2 & Speedway Leger.

2020 – 4th Generation Dualtron

  • Dualtron X II, Dualtron Storm & Dualtron Ultra 2 are launched. They belong to the new edition of the fourth generation Dualtron.
  • Releases the electric scooters: Dualtron Eagle Pro & Dualtron Mini

2023

The new factory area is completed, with a total building area of 122,705.15 square meters.

2024
